In a significant enhancement to local sports facilities, Meeker’s Paintbrush Park baseball fields have undergone a lighting upgrade, transitioning from outdated HID systems to advanced LED technology. This initiative aims to improve playing conditions for the numerous youth baseball and softball teams that utilize the fields, as well as for recreational players.
The decision to upgrade was driven by the need to address concerns about visibility and light pollution associated with the older lighting system. The new LED lights provide appropriate illumination levels, are cost-effective, and are designed for ease of operation. This upgrade is part of Meeker’s broader efforts to modernize its parks and recreation facilities, ensuring they meet the community’s evolving needs.
Community leaders anticipate that the improved lighting will enhance the overall experience for players and spectators alike, fostering greater participation in local sports and community events held at Paintbrush Park.
